A significant site on an inner-city arterial road yielded a substantial residential development encompassing 160 apartments over 14 levels. With a client brief to maximise site potential, without compromising the prestige value of the project, PB&A have generated designs for high end apartments finished with quality products, systems and materials. A distinctive art-deco ‘Moderne’ look was detailed to reflect the heritage buildings in the vicinity.

The premium site presented a number of design challenges. Existing adjacent buildings had to be protected and propped during construction with extensive ground works required. High wind zones and the proximity to the ocean required specific façade and structural solutions to accommodate wind pressures and sea spray.
